This year’s fish fry is going to be bigger and better than ever. The big day is October 26th from 11 AM to 6 PM at the North Myrtle Beach Primary School on 11th Avenue North.

The all you can eat event includes golden fried fish filets, Chandlers N.C. sweet bar-b-que, creamy cole slaw, Nana’s 102 year old recipe cold slaw, little round crispy white potatoes, sweet potato fries, hush puppies, traditional green beans with bacon, rolls, pickles, tea and coffee…all for a donation of $8.00 No one has ever come to our fish fry and left hungry and that is one thing we will never allow to happen..

It will be a day for fun and frivolity with food, entertainment and our silent auction. There will be tables with listings of prizes from many of our supporters. Here is a list of the prizes being offered and please support these businesses that help us out.

Many of our members wanted to entertain you with their attempts at singing, but the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights prevents any form of torture. We found several very talented folks that have volunteered to entertain you. Here is our line up of the talented individuals that will be performing:

SplashSPLASH, the official mascot of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans will be on hand to welcome folks from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Bring your kids and your cameras. Splash burst onto the scene in 1999 as the official mascot of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Fourteen years later, he’s still going strong! Since the Pelicans flew into the Grand Strand, Splash and his antics have been on display at each and every home game.

Owen Reeves will be performing from 12:30 pm to 1:00 PM. He will be teaming up with Maddie Hunt to perform a a few duets also.

Maddie Hunt CopyMaddie Hunt will be performing from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM. She will be performing individually and as a duet with Owen . Maddie is 13 and is the current Little Miss South Carolina Sweetheart.  She won the Conway superstar singing competition junior division last year.  She has been performing along the Grand Strand for over a year at Liberty Tap Room, Liberty Steakhouse, Capriz, Wahoo’s in Murrells Inlet, and the coffee house on Broadway Street.  She has also performed the National Anthem at the MB Pelicans for the last 3 year, MB Beach Ball Classic and this past summer at the Orlando Convention center during the National Volleyball tournament.  Along with singing she enjoys volunteering.  She has received the gold Presidents award the past 2 years for her community service work.  Since June of this year she already has logged about 300 hours of community service.

Al Pittman will be entertaining the hungry masses from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm. Al is a violinist and will be playing movie themes and broadway show tunes. Al has been playing most of his life and was a charter member of the Long Bay Symphony. He served as first violinist for eight years. He also plays at North Myrtle Beach’s Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church on Sundays.
